Years ago, people joked about
trying to find some sucker to buy their "desert land". Look
who's laughing now! Land values in Arizona have made many
people very wealthy, as urban sprawl turns the Sonoran desert
in a growing, thriving metroplex in one of the fastest growing
areas in the world! Trying to keep up with the steady stream
of relocating new residents, commercial investors and industry
are buying up every available piece of land they can get their
hands on.
Phoenix's own boundaries are bursting, and
the outlying communities that used to be considered rural are
now in the middle of everything. Queen Creek no longer
hides out in the middle of nowhere. The city of Maricopa
has propelled itself into the top populated cities of the region. Wickenburg
is poised to become an urban hub for the northwest valley. Buckeye
has amassed more area than almost every other city in the state! If
you can find some land to buy and hold on to, you'll probably
be one very happy person by the time you're ready to sell it
again!
